Ingredients

  • Sesame Dressing (makes over ½ cup)
  • About ⅛th or less of an onion (a small
  • wedge)
  • ½ of a small carrot, peeled
  • ½ of a small piece of celery
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • 3 tbsp neutral-flavoured oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp toasted white sesame seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp cold water, optional, more or less
  • to thin the dressing

  • salad leaf you like), torn into pieces
  • 1 large tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1-2 carrots, julienned
  • ½ of an English cucumber, julienned
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted black and white sesame
  • seeds

Instructions

    In a blender or food processor mix all the dressing ingredients together until smooth (with a bit of texture).

    Prepare the salad ingredients in a mixing bowl.

    Lightly dress the salad with as much dressing as you like and serve additional dressing on the side. Serves 4.
