Sweet Challah Streusel Topping Recipe

I always use this topping for my challahs over Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Think of it like the best part of the apple crumble. Each clump of this topping becomes like a piece of pie dough on the challah and the sweet butter taste infuses into the bread itself. YUM!
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, margarine, or coconut oil,
- softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
Instructions

Using your hands and fingers or a fork, mix all the ingredients together.

Just before putting the challah in the oven, wet hands with water, pat the top of the challah. Sprinkle on the topping. Makes enough for 2 challahs Note: I like to make a double or triple batch of this and freeze it. The next time I am making challah, I have it all ready!
